Wow, my fellow baby-boomers are such curmudgeons. I still watch SNL and it’s just as good now as it’s ever been. This past season was great.
And as for the original seasons being the best… Earlier this year NBC ran an episode from season 2 with Carrie Fisher as host. Every sketch in it was a dud, so awful. And this was cut down to an hour. I’d hate to see what they left out. (Although the Blues Brothers were in it; they kept it from being a total disaster.)

I lost interest after all the original cast was gone, what was that, about 1980? Since the show is still on I guess they didn’t miss me either…
