    It is strange, people tend to remember Nixon because of the Watergate fiasco in his second term that eventually led to his resigning from office; yet they forget his efforts to bring about an end to the “Cold War” by being the first US president to visit both mainland China and Moscow while in office

    G.W. Bush couldn’t. There was an outstanding warrant for his arrest for war crimes in one of the New England states.

    Nixon was the only president to resign. Alaska and Hawaii only became states in 1959. Nixon became president ten years later.
