I laugh when I watch ancient aliens (which is why I watch it). The assumption is that our ancestors were too stupid to build things and therefore must have had help from aliens. These people designed and built great works of civil engineering without so much as a slide rule – much less with the magic of a computer. They used simple things like sticks and strings and with these humble tools did things like measure the size of the earth. In many ways they had to be a lot smarter than us because nobody had figured it out before them to pass it on.

Meanwhile, Big Thunder never quite got over how he left his tinkertoys out one time and never came back for them.

People who want to believe in ancient aliens show total contempt for the intelligence and ingenuity of our ancestors!
