I think Old School Guy is their Wally, pouncingtiger. All those stacks of paper are a fine defensive rampart for obscuring desktop napping, coffee-drinking, snacking, etc.

I had a friend who worked this way for years. There was always a ton of paperwork on his desk and he carried a clipboard at all times. Everyone was afraid to ask what he was doing.

Absolutely love this one Wiley. The art is great and the look on their faces are priceless. I so empathize with Analog Man. What’s going to happen to the driving instruction “10 & 2” now that everyone (except me) has a digital watch?

When a unit in the army tried to obey a directive to eliminate unnecessary paperwork by cleaning out their archive files of outdated material, they had to submit a request to dispose of the files they considered excess. The proposal required them to list every file they wanted to eliminate.

The response came back some time later: The request was approved–but before disposal, each file had to be copied, and the copies archived…
