Not to put too fine a point on it, but I don’t think Nelson is related to anybody if he’s eating broccoli for pleasure. (My current theory is he’s an alien shape-shifter.)
When my daughter was a toddler (see my avatar for her drawing of me at that time), one of her favorite foods was “trees with cheese!” Or anything green. Good kid.
James Bond producer Albert R. (Cubby) Broccoli’s family was in the vegetable business, and Albert claimed one of his uncles brought the first broccoli seeds into the United States in the 1870’s. Albert’s cousin Pat DiCicco gave him the nickname “Cubby” after a comic strip character named Kabibble.

My youngest grandson (8) loves carrots, broccoli, cukes. He’ll go there instead of chips any day.

My son is a very picky eater, but somehow one of the few things on the list is broccoli.

I like raw broccoli and cauliflower with a little salt or…preferably with blue cheese or onion dip.

Broccoli tastes a lot better than synthetically flavoured corn snacks.

I love broccoli too. Especially when it’s hot. Delicious!
