Mankind exists by ‘killing’ things, whether it be a ‘Blue Gill’ or ‘Blue Corn!’ The “trick” is to “husband” (original definition of the word) what you feel the need to kill. That is, by the way, one of the reasons the original settlers of America were so appalled with the newly arrived European immigrants; their apparent ‘delight’ in ‘wanton’ killing. The rule to live by is, “Only Kill what you’re willing to eat!”

Um. I would make an exception for mosquitoes.
