I remember losing a fifteen-page assignment on a flash drive in college. Had to rewrite the entire thing from scratch overnight. The result was probably the best stream-of-consciousness writing I’ll ever do.
One time I had to do a project for a book in elementary school. One Sunday evening, I asked my parents if they could help me. My father asked, “When is it due?” I said, “Tomorrow.” He asked, “When did you first learn about it?” I told him that it was about a week or so ago. He said, “How much do you have done?” I said “Not much,” which was an exaggeration; I had NONE. He said, “You got yourself into this mess…you get yourself out.” I managed to squeak a B out of it, and that put an end to my procrastination streak.
If it’s early evening he might try watching Kenneth Branaugh’s film version (long, but more complete than some others he might find to rent). Teachers tend to be familiar with what Cliff Notes has to say.

Go with cremation, that way the teacher won’t be able to beat up your dead body.

Peter must’ve procrastinated by watching something on TV until Andy chastised him and sent him to his room.

And let me guess, it’s 9:00 at night.
Or worse, it’s 7:30 in the morning before school.
