It’s like teenagers’ driving education, but with adults.

She wouldn’t make it 15 feet in my car before she’d be walking.

The auto is set on auto nag. So is my house.

When that goes off in my truck when I am driving, I ask it how many wrecks and tickets she has had…That normally turns the voice feature off.

She sounds like my sis-in-law, thankfully, my wife didn’t do that, she just wanted to ‘arm wrestle’ to see who drove and a lot of time she cheated ! ! !

How did you manage to channel my mother?

My wife generally can’t stand to have anyone else driving. She can’t give up being in control. One time I picked her up from a hospital stay after dark. She complained about my driving several times (minor inconsequential things) in the first 5 miles, so I pulled off at the next interstate exit and stopped at the side halfway down the exit to switch. The first thing she did was U-turn onto the entrance ramp from the end of the exit. But at least the rest of the trip was quieter.
