Big-hearted Andy, always thinking of the working man! Mostly thinking he’s happy not to be one!

The higher the prices, the harder to scrounge pints.

I clicked around a little, and it seems the average price of a pint of bitter in the north of England is £2.87, or $3.85 in real money [that’s a joke, people]. So if Andy cadges 10 pints a night from the poor sods he cons, then he is earning close to the minimum wage. It takes a lot of work to be an idle layabout.

When I started drinking it was $0.25 for a pint or you could get 8 oz. for $0.15.

The state liquor stores and beer distributors keep raising the prices. Seems like every week at the bar I own.

That’s one way to get Andy to think about others…

You must be as old as I am. I remember paying $4 a case, which works out to about $0.16 a can. Aah, the good old days.
