There is also a degree of irony here, as it is perhaps rather unfortunate that a strip whose English version, at least, has a somewhat “colloquial” and debatable turn of phrase in it, should immediately precede a sequence taking a pop at old comics for portraying people of Hispanic extraction as speaking somewhat “broken” English.
