Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Now that this story arc has finished (since it’s now rerun week), the comic strip on November the 6th, 2017 makes no sense. How does subtraction have anything to do with the comic strips page?
Why do I feel like this is a rerun? Either it’s a rerun or that Nate raking leaves during the fall because of an adult (His dad or grandpa) is a running gag.
Before too much conversation starts today, I’d like to talk about a few things that happened yesterday. Specifically I’d like to talk about the intolerance of differing views that many people adopted when the discussion of the quality of the comic came up. Many people were declaring that anyone who did not firmly believe that the comic was just as great as ever was surely nothing but a hater and that their opinion was invalid. Look guys, no one here hates Big Nate, if we did we wouldn’t be here. The people who are upset, myself included, simply feel like the story arcs just aren’t what they used to be. And the argument that we should just blindly accept any arc or any decline simply because the history of the comic is a terrible notion. I know for a fact that Mr. Peirce is capable of far better than this past arc, and it is because of that and a appreciation for his work that I was upset with it. I’m not asking anyone who disagrees to switch views, I’m simply asking that you tolerate them. Thank you for reading this very long comment
When I got onto GoComics, I thought the ‘next’ button had broken and was glitched, because I thought I was a few years behind. Reruns heh heh. Looking forward to read some of Peirce’s classics!
You know that sort of thing YouTubers do where they Google themselves?
I typed “biggernate91” into Google not expecting anything to come up… and I got results!
Most of the results were from GoComics (profile, pages that I commented on), but I also saw some for Fandom Wikis, and in the images section, there were my Custom Comics over from Calvin and Hobbes!
For all those who whine about reruns, Mr. Peirce might be having a creative block at the time he’s writing the comics (Hence the not so good previous story arc, in my opinion and many others), so he needs a well deserved break so that he could muster up inspiration from those breaks and make new, fresh story arcs for next week’s strips. If you really care about Big Nate, respect Mr. Peirce’s decision and go read another comic instead of whining here.
This is from the book ‘The Crowd Goes Wild’ and believe me, I read it everyday because it is funny. By the way, I agree with Jonathan. If you’re going to whine like a baby because of the reruns, don’t come. If you really care about this comic, go and see another strip.

What kind of mind can remember a comic from seven or so years ago? And anyway, most of us don’t care. It’s morning. It’s the comics, not politics.

The question is, which story arc is going to be rerunned? Does anybody remember what came after this?
