He was a biological miracle … two appendixes, and very unfortunate.

This one was a little more well thought out than Nate’s last excuse. After all, it’s not very likely that Uncle Ted would have ever met Nate’s teachers like his grandfather, the man never leaves his house.

Nate should inculpate the fact that he didn’t complete his homework on himself rather than someone else XD

You have to stick to your story. After the car accident and the surgery, poor Ted was in so bad shape that his appendix burst. He survived but his appendix didn’t heal and burst again. That’s what the doctor said, maybe medically impossible but poor Ted couldn’t afford a good one.

Nate should say he has two Uncle Teds XD I have two uncles with the same name. Nate looks weird in the third to last panel.

Maybe Nate could have said that he had two Uncle Teds

Wow Nate, you can’t be a little more creative? This reminds me of when I lost a spelling bee because of the word ‘appendectomy’.

Why is there only one throwaway panel? (Pannel at the top)

Mr. Galvin’s getting smarter. He’s been recording all of Nate’s excuses to get out of doing homework. Nate doesn’t have enough relatives to get out of all the times he doesn’t do his homework. Mr. Galvin probably only plays along with Nate’s excuses because there’s a chance (a minuscule one) that he isn’t lying.

Nate, you should keep track of your excuses instead of going for the gusto. You already saw Mr. Galvin’s record back in the 2000’s, so you won’t really get so far. It’s like trying to use a dress to stop a nuclear missle.
