    Don’t be so certain.

This time out she may have the courage to tell the truth.

There is nothing more heartbreaking than to have to decide the last day of a pet.

If we could pass with as much love as a valued dog or cat we would be fortunate,

    Of course there is!

    Humble Lovable

He gets my vote over all dogs except for Snoopy. Fred Bassett is a VERY close 3rd.

Love Farley’s paws hanging in the air. :-)

That looks just like my dog 15 hours a day (beagle-german shepard mix). He wouldn’t win any award, but he is lovable.

I do not think Farley will be winning at the dog show because he is a runt.

If Farley were a cat, there would be an award for him. The Cat Fancy has a “household pet” division. Mostly random-bred, or alley cats, but occasionally a pure bred will show up in the class, for one reason or another. I agree - he’s a luv. I’ve always loved Old English Sheep Dogs.

This is my dog’s favorite laying position on our bed at night while we watch t.v. before going to sleep.

When Farley died after his heroic rescue, I actually cried. My brother was visiting from out of State and he found me on the porch, newspaper in hand and tears running down my cheeks.

“What’s wrong?” He asked. I replied, “Farley Died!” “Oh, I’m sorry, was he a close friend?” “Well, kind of, he was this dog in a comic strip…”

My brother thought that was the dumbest thing he had ever heard of. Crying for a comic strip dog! But I had learned to love Farley and followed all his adventures for such a long time that he became almost real to me. z

zI missed him when he was gone, missed him a lot!

I hated watching the death sequence - and that was years before my beloved cockatoo who shared my like for over 20 years, died in my arms of a prolapse. She will always be my soulmate, even though I now share my life with a cute and handsome little male Timneh.

Comic strip writers can introduce subjects that others cannot. Even kids “can” learn from a good strip about some things in life, else just get a discussion point going. Sometimes parents or loved ones cannot figure out how to start a needed conversation, but you can also say, “Hey, here is a great comic strip I follow, have you seen this one? …”

How about winning “the sweetest dog” category
