This reminds me of one of those animated segments they showed on abc saturday mornings, It was either School House Rock or one of those, about people wasting their money. In the one I remember a kid pays for and is waiting for a boat, and turns out to be just a toy model.
Somebody remembers the name of those shorts? I think they were made by the Ad Council or some other goverment agency.
