Driving a taxi for some years I’d repeat a comment made often: Why did it take so long after putting a man on the moon to put wheels on luggage?
FYI, patented in 1970 took some time to perfect it. The first wheeled bags were VERY awkward. I still have one of those separate luggage carts that still comes in handy for my old cooler and picnic basket.
I recall reading that in Venice these things are forbidden on the streets. They just couldn’t take all the clackity-clack from tourist suitcases anymore. They also forbid the gondoliers from singing O Sole Mio. →It was driving the locals up the wall.

A real plugger is still using the same suitcase he/she got when graduating.. that had no wheels

Those tiny wheels are near useless.
They are useless if you are hurrying.
