The darkest hour is the time between when you hear the coffee maker go on and when the coffee is ready to drink.

It is dark. I have to get up. I go back to bed. I cannot seep. I read Go Comics in the dark on my computer.

Keurig is a wonderful invention. Lift, insert pod, lower, start.

So set the timer on the coffeepot earlier…..

No timer. No Keurig. Get up. Start coffee pot. Let dogs out. Scoop yard. Get breakfast together. Coffee for family now ready to go. Who needs timers and Keurigs?

People who are stupid and lazy. As I just said, Americans. Also people who are entirely self-absorbed and lazy: the rest of Americans.

There is a statistically insignificant percentage of Americans that is neither.

I have a really neat feature on my coffee maker. It’s called a “switch”.

While I’m far away from you my baby. I know it’s hard for you my baby. Because it’s hard for me my baby. And the darkest hour is just before dawn.

Is Arlo retired? He hasn’t been to work in a WHILE. Did I miss the party? Was there cake?

I love my son’s current favorite coffee mug, he got it a couple of years ago.

It’s a huge white mug with a picture of the top of a cup of black coffee, and the caption:

(And he knows what a Simon and Garfunkel fan I am, and didn’t get me one, too! :p

For some reason, many of today’s posts remind me of Gollum… (and yes, I used to be among you) ☺

two choices – get out of bed and, gasp, gasp, make the coffee yourself OR reach for Janis, but don’t just lie there.

Never thought of it that way but true.

Unfortunately for Arlo, Janis forgot to set the coffee pot’s timer. I wonder how long it will take Arlo to figure that out?
