Those dogs shivering, looking so sad, needing hugs and love……cannot watch those on tv without the whole family crying. Dogs are truly helpless as are babies. And, need us.
Our local shelter, Ojai Humane Society, had to cancel its big year end fund raiser due to the crush of business generated by the Thomas Fire evacuations. So we donated our old car to them.
So very true. I rescued my Peggy from a kill shelter in 2013 and I lost her yesterday. She hadn’t eaten for 2 days or pooped for a couple of days. Took her to the vet yesterday and found out that her bladder was 3x the size it should be and her lymph node was swollen to 3×. Turned out to be inoperable cancer. So, we said our goodbyes to her yesterday. She had just turned 6 in November. She crossed over the Rainbow Bridge with me holding her and loving her until she was gone. :( She was a fantastic dog!

That’s is how I got most of my pets. They showed up and we kept them.

Look at where a person’s money goes and you’ll see what’s truly important to him / her.

A great message here. Animals are so important, yet we often don’t give them the respect they deserve. A shame.
Happy Sunday, Crew.
