Correcting “Beenthere41”, the term ‘wi-fi’ does not mean “Wireless free internet” at all. It is not a technical term, but it stands for “Wireless Local Area Network”. But, It would be nice if ‘wi-fi’ was actually free, though…

Seems redundant. “Wi-Fi” stands for “Wireless Free Internet”, so if you had to pay for it, it wouldn’t be “free”, now would it?
