Nancy Classics by Ernie Bushmiller for January 29, 2019
January 28, 2019
January 30, 2019
Transcript:
Nancy: Aunt Fritzi---May I turn on the television?
Aunt Fritzi: No---You were BAD this morning.
Nancy: But I was GOOD this afternoon.
Aunt Fritzi: That makes no difference.
Nancy: It doesn't seem fair---I was good for HALF a day.
Bushmiller drew several variations on this same theme. Here’s one from just four years earlier, in 1945, with almost the exact same dialogue (apologies for the poor reproduction):
Aunt Fritzi did a good job dividing the tv in half visually… but Nancy is still getting the full audio? Hmm. Probably should have made her wear one ear muff. :)

Nancy could be a good lawyer, she always looks for rule loopholes.

Just tuned into this strip and now I can see the appeal. Very clever jokes!

I only you could get Pelosi to agree to that halfway theory.
