Unexperienced supply teachers like this one are afraid of doing anything wrong (or against classroom/school rules) and are therefore extremely susceptible to Nate’s tricks. Experienced supply teachers would ask other teachers for confirmation before just listening to one of their students (on the other hand, most students are honest and would not lie about school rules like Nate).

This sub is obviously trying way too hard to impress the students even though subs rarely come back. It just seems pointless to gain the students favor if you’re never going to see them again…

When I subbed, I was invariably asked two questions, Are you a real teacher? To which I replied, “No, I’m imaginary.” When they found out I was retired from the military, someone would ask me if I ever killed anyone. My reply, “Not yet.”

Once, in 5th grade, 3 years ago, We had a very gullible sub, and we managed to persuade her to let us play slither.io for practically the whole day. :)
