Cats and cucumbers….I don’t think that “all” cats will act this way, but there is certainly enough video proof to show that at least “some” cats act like this.
I just showed this to my husband. He said that when he was growing up, he was told to beware if he smelled cucumbers while walking in the mountains, because copperheads could smell like that.
(I thought he was just kidding me, at first.)
I was just guessing in my first post, I figured it was the shape and size. I had never heard about snakes smelling like cukes.

It seems like a primal response to snakes.
