Cute gag, lol Kinda mixing up your songs, though? The “Big Iron” in the song was carried in Agua Fria (probably in New Mexico). The implication is that Texas Red had crossed into New Mexico to get out of the Arizona Ranger’s jurisdiction. The ballad “El Paso” contained the story of Rose’s Cantina and the girl, Felina. You would also be more likely to find Marty Robbins in a race car than playing golf. (Yes. I was a big Marty Robbins fan. Still am, for that matter, lol)

This a double reference. First is Marty Robbin’s song “Big Iron”. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OntwwcBVe6o ) The second is to his song “El Paso”. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UVVS5-9HvA&list=RDOntwwcBVe6o&index=4 )
