^ In a row on a single page? 7 is the record I’ve flagged. I’m at least 5 hours ahead of you so I sometimes get in early. ;-) I wonder if the fools are competing against each other or owned by one & same. Bizarre behaviour though, doesn’t make marketing sense at all. Edit: Which proves that this is an automated response/attack because this is not a rational marketing ploy. I’m still puzzled at the multiple sites (I haven’t bothered to look them all up) Also, I doubt Gocomics has been singled out, it is simply a poorly protected forum amongst probably many others an automated system attacks every so often in a day.

Edit 2: The following are all owned by the same folks, with Chinese name(s) as their contact(s) shoeboxs . us b2cshop . us love-shopping . org b2cjersey . us madeshopping . com

    Trully bizarre.

Edit 3: Seems like the Andy Chen & Amy Lin pair have pi$$ed off more fora out there, judging by the reactions I’m reading all over the world. This is their modus operandi. Doesn’t make sense.

fennec: Difficult to know for sure, but hackers they are not. I don’t get my malware detecting software tripping. They aren’t phishing. They could be spamdexing to boost their websites’ scoring in web searches. That might explain the irrational behaviour by not caring about annoying us which isn’t a great marketing ploy. So we’re not really the target market. Their websites are very amateurish though, poor English, poor design, not secure which means their business intent may not be serious i.e scam you for a few bucks via paypal account for goods that will never show up on your doorstep. The websites are all recent (June, July & August registrations, all in Putian, Fujian province, China) which might support this theory.

Gocomics is simply a very insecure forum and an easy target for a spambot to repeatedly hit it. I don’t know their tactics, spamming isn’t my forté but the spammers certainly are scaling up their onslaught. I can understand someone’s blog being hit like this but Gocomics is a serious on-line business concern. It reflects badly on it as it shows it is being run very poorly.

Btw, there’s some idiot suggesting we interact with the spammers by emailing them. Don’t (I don’t think you would but others might). That’s stupid and giving them a confirmed email address to sell on. There are other suggestions that Gocomics is in cahoots with these spammers. Also not true. They are victims but being revealed as possibly not very professional in the way the spam is being handled.
