It’s a conspiracy. The waitstaff do that to guilt you into ordering more on your next visit. More food = bigger check = bigger tip. They’re all in on it. (Kidding, when expected wages are cut in half for tipped employees, tips are not just nice, they are needed to pay the bills.)
