Me (to the guy who just proposed removing parts of 2 vertebrae to get at the cyst growing in my spinal canal, right up against the spinal cord) “So, um, how many times have you done this operation?”

Doc: “A few dozen times a week for about 18 years.”

Me: “Good answer! Let’s do it.”

I was in the service and decided to get my wisdom teeth removed for free before getting out. The dentist officer had never done it before and it took 45 minutes and a lot of cracking noises. I had one piece come out 3 months later. The next one was done by an dental officer with 20 years experience and he was teaching the others with me. Took him NO time at all. The next one was done by the original guy and it worked out really well this time. He had learned and I really had no complaints. I only had 3, btw. I do stuff and I know it takes time to learn how to do it well. I survived with no big problems.

I’ve had this one. Lube made with rooster combs. Worked. The pain was gone before I got to my car.
