Well, pondering dreams and possibilities while snuggled in someone’s arms in front of a fire, and he brings popcorn? Yeah, that might work, too.

Peekaboo is bound to appear any moment….and hop on that warm, cozy lap.

Fire-watches should be shared. One never knows what may become overheated. And needs to be taken care of.

:( I understand, Rose. Just grab those little moments when you can. But don’t let on what you’re thinking; the rest of the family can’t understand.

What we have here is the start of intimacy in that couple that doesn’t necessarily need sex, It’s a time of closeness, sharing and bonding necessary for ANY married couple.

BTW, it seems Jimbo is not being a smartaleck. It is hard for a man to ASK for entrance into a time and place like Rose’s. He has the same needs as his wife for emotional closeness but…. ( I don’t notice Rose rebuffing him, but the popcorn works in that case.)

I wake up early and welcome the “alone” time before the rest of the household wakes.
