This happened on Diagnosis Murder. Steve Sloan had this same problem with one pair of sunglasses and his dad Mark sent him to the car to look for them as a prank. This was one of the funniest things to happen on the show.
If he can’t feel any of them resting on his head, he’s in real trouble and needs more than a GP to straighten him out. Perhaps a neurologist to start with.

That’s me with READING glasses….I have at least one pair in each room and I still can’t find any when I need them.
