Hobbes is the best, but Calvin should catch the stars from heaven for him!!

Calvin, what do you expect. Without you, Hobbes wouldn’t exist.

I never want anything for Christmas. I prefer seeing poor families be able to celebrate the holiday. That alone would put a smile on my face.

Einstein would be appalled at Hobbes.

Hobbes forgot a years supply of Tuna.

But is Calvin’s inner thoughts! Nicely done, Hobbes.

GM everyone, I love panel #3 where he rubs Calvins head Have done that to my sons when they were Calvins age. As saying “you ‘ll understand when you get older” or if you were a stuffed tiger……………

My Mountain Man and I have stopped giving gifts to each other……..now we give toys to the kids in treatment at the City of Hope. That is so much more exciting that anything we could come up with!!!!

Calvin’s just not as Zen as Hobbes yet. He has his moments though. : )

Now Hobbes, we know you’re not being entirely truthful. We know how much you want a kiss from Suzie! (But Calvin isn’t about to put that in his letter!!)

That’s the way I feel every year, truly blessed! I just tell the family to spend their money on my granddaughter and not to worry about buying me anything. I always give some time and support where I can to locale charities and never forget the SPCA especially at this time of the year. This year we’re also making out a note to Santa to give to Macy’s Dept. Store, they’re donating a dollar to the Make a Wish Foundation for every letter they receive!

Hobbes U are the species with real BIG heart…

What a poignant strip.

It’s a satisfaction we all should have. But back in the world extolling greed and waste, has Calvin cross-indexed his list yet?

If our species could show a little more imagination and understanding maybe the world wouldn’t be faced with the imminent danger of the tiger going extinct!

With a little more foresight, maybe the tigers would’ve eaten _us_ first.

Thanks for a refreshing moment.

Gifts lost any meaning when I stopped spending Christmas where small children were a part of it. The excitement on a child’s face at the mysteries wrapped beneath the tree is special.

It is so good to hear contentment expressed from Hobbes. I don’t think we will ever hear that from our friend, Calvin.

On Monday, I told Calvin that all of my savings are in bonds. But I was only talking about my money. Today, I’m talking to him about my wealth.

Many people who have a lot of money have very little wealth. And many people who have very little money have tremendous wealth.

There’s a saying that “money can’t buy happiness,” but it is not entirely true. Because if we use our money for others who really need it, we are also buying wealth for ourselves, in the form of true happiness.

Money has no value at all if we never spend it. So if we keep it all for ourselves, storing up more than we truly need, we are unable to accumulate wealth. All that we are accumulating is something of no value to us: money.

Especially at this time of year, we need to work hard to avoid focusing on accumulating more possessions. Instead, we should all be obsessed with accumulating more wealth.

What a nice thought by Hobbes To bad Calvin is just to greedy to realize it

Way to go, Hobbes!

As you get older and wiser your must list have will get shorter Calvin.

Somehow, the best gifts are those we give in the spirit in which we received them: freely, generously, as gifts.

Even our talents work that way: no matter how hard we give away the things we are good at, we get richer: in new friends, in skill with out talents, in new ideas of how to use them. And in other ways I have yet to notice.

You are so right, Hobbes! If you’ve got these two blessings in your life, then what more could anyone (human or tiger) want … or even need for that matter?!?
