Since anything by Smythe is automatically a 10 perhaps we should change the rating system to 0 to 15. I know not all Smythes are equal. You have remarked that you have been tempted to give an 11 rating on occasion.
As I mentioned the other day, you and FANOLIO were a couple of the reasons I came back to commentating on this strip. I know you, and your excellent cartoon work, which is more than the majority of these wahoos, commentating today can say.
Everyone has anal cavities and opinions. They are free to exercise both BUT not at the expense of someone else.
People are free to disagree with your assessment of the daily proffering by the Three Stooges or take umbrage with my commentary.
What they are NOT allowed to do is to call someone else a derogatory name, as Steve_The_Beard did to you. Yes, Steve, “miserable git” is derogatory.
Whether or not some posters liked your daily ratings or not, is beside the point. The point IS you are entitled to rate the comic, however you see fit and we are entitled to agree or disagree. Importantly, you are talking about the comic not your Auntie’s lumbago or giving us her recipe for parsnip wine !
I gotta agree with Number Six on this one. Not really funny, just stating the obvious. What WOULD be funny is if Andy fell in the canal and got chased by a shark or alligator. (Yeah, I know they don’t have those in England, but that’s kind of the point. You wouldn’t expect it, would you?) By the way, thank you, FANOLIO, for posting a link to the classic Andy Capp strips, which are always funny.
Good to see you back here on Andy. Has California survived all the Fires, Earthquakes, Mudslides, etc that nature has to offer? I used to live in San Diego and stationed in Camp Pendleton while in the Marines. All we had here in Houston was a 52 inch rainstorm. Fortunately my neighborhood was six inches above the storm surge.
BTW Please feel free to help me post some Classics on Andy. They are really appreciated here!
