I’m with Petey, just say “no”.

The extreme form of passive aggression has piqued my interest.

Petey’s passive-aggression is already at master-level. Why gild the lily?

Hey, I love these new FAA sports–Pinchboxing, Slapkido, and Nu Gi Ow. Maybe Edda Burber could open a school for the last.

I bet RT loved drawing Ernesto in those poses. Once he got started, he just can’t stop. I bet there’s at least one more day of pinch poses…irresistible.

There are days where I fear Petey is getting so well-adjusted, Ernesto is simply going to fade away.

That’s odd, we can still see Ernesto after Petey has left. Does that mean we’re imagining him too???

(It’s funny reading the “About Cul de Sac” blurb on the right – Petey is described as “the typical older brother who plays jokes on (Alice)”. Boy has he changed over the years! Go Comics should update those descriptions every decade or so…)

my understanding was that petey thinks ernesto is an invisible friend, but he’s actually real (I’m pretty sure other strips demonstrate his realness, but admittedly I can’t think of any examples off the top of my head…)

YES! hem Sorry. Well, person918, there’s a few where Ernesto interacts with real people, the very first one being a meeting with Petey’s family outside the pool. On the other hand, Viola claims she never sees Ernesto. And her anti-Ernesto charms seem to work quite well. So we may neeeverr knoooow…! Destiny, Petey’s newish neuroticness is what makes him such a boss character. And in my opinion, Petey is imagining Ernesto in his peripheral vision. I hope that day never comes, DirtyDragon. I’d hate to lose Petey to normalcy and our favorite mild lycanthrope to the ether where lost imaginations disappear. Why did I respond to so many people today?

I wonder if pinchboxing includes the famous Vulcan Nerve Pinch.

Passive agression training would be perfect for Petey
