…I thought they were going to have Frutzi and Phil adopt Nancy and Sluggo outright but that would create some district awkwardness!!!!! I. guess tho@e ponytails ‘Nam-vet truckers – whom I didn’t know were meant to be district characters – were his guardians. in some way or another and the.reason a single digit-aged child was able to apparently live alone and now, having given up on the big wheels, they will be in Nashville with Sluggo 24/7?

I’m really excited about seeing tomorrow’s strip. Guy may have something really big planned for us.

As our student parish Pastor told my then-girlfriend-now-wife and I when we graduated so many years ago, “Have a nice life!”…

It’s obviously the end of the strip. They are going to stop writing it.

Like “Little Dog Lost”, why don’t they just start over?

Yikes that was a short engagement. We could have had some fun with that. We don’t even get to watch the plans and preparations, or Phil’s wedding jitters? And will Fritz’s name now be Fritzi Fumble or Fritzi Ritz Fumble or something else entirely?

A peak into the future will tell us that Nancy and Sluggo marry and have two kids. A girl named Sally and a round-headed boy like his parents who has trouble with kites and football…

I’m late to the party, but I did bring chips. The dailies (Monday -Saturday) and the Sunday are treated as separate comics. Years ago, large newspapers would run all 7 strips, while smaller papers would run 6 or 1 depending on whether the paper was published weekly (Sunday strip only) or daily (Monday-Saturday). (The comic The Phantom still does this running 2 separate storylines (one daily and one Sunday only).) Anyway, this is the last daily strip and it ends with the stars of Bushmiller’s strip in the last panel. If you only get the Sunday comic, you’d be a little confused by tomorrow’s comic. Any way, thanks Guy from an old man who only started enjoying this strip again during your run. You made the old girl a joy to read.
