I love animals, but have you seen what they do to one another? I can’t even watch a lot of the animal documentaries any longer. Male lions killing cubs of rivals so the females will come into heat and they can mate with them, monkeys killing off rival groups, and of course all the killing to survive. It ain’t always pretty.
“animal farm” by George Orwell comes to mind as a possible opposite theory – of course, most of us think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. until we go there and find it isn’t.
I disagree, Irwin. Other animals could not do it any better than we humans (witches, trolls, and talking buzzards included). Not that that is any cause for glee….

But they do. Humans are animals, too. But they aren’t so much running the planet as ruining it.

Other animals don’t have the capability to ruin or destroy all life.

Animals couldn’t do any worse.

Survival of the fittest. Best described as “nasty, brutal and short.” And a note animals DO kill for sport, not just to eat.
