And if Pippi’s anything like my two the poor little bug will now be of absolutely no interest now it’s demised. In the summer I’m constantly finding dead flies and other insects wherever the boys have finally smooshed them
Two years later, 500 miles north, comes a scratching at the door.
Open the door, black and white cat sitting there. Comes right in, has something to eat, settles down on the couch. Instantly at home.
Turns out this cat was raised feral, living in a chicken coop as a mouser fir a year and a half, oddly enough he has every trait and habit that the old cat has. And some of those traits were absolutely unique for a cat.
The cat whose body died was a creature of great willpower and integrity. We figure he was given a choice in the hereafter and said “No thanks, send me back again as what and who I was – I’m not done yet.”

We have a cat who did a Fargo.
Died at the ripe old age of 22.
