I love that grin on Odie’s face in the last panel. Sweet revenge, indeed!

Well, what really happened, was that Garfield was gonna pull an April Fool’s gag on Odie. Like Lucy and Charley Brown and the football. He told Odie he could kick him in the butt to make up for all the times he had kicked Odie. His plan was to jump out of the way at the last second, and have Odie kick the air, and fall on his back like Charley Brown. But Odie was faster than Garfield expected, and he got what he has been deserving for all these years. So, it all worked out for the best.

So what did you think, Garfield? That only you can kick Odie off the table, and that he can’t kick you back? I’m so glad he’s got his revenge.
