By the looks of Ziggy’s proximity to flames and smoke, he’s already a goner. Did the pets make it out O.K.?

But it’s more important to Republicans to give tax money to millionaires.

Yes, I’m sure the fire department (and other emergency services) would run much more efficiently if it were privatized.

Ziggy, doesn’t that just burn you up when that happens? It is sad that you have to go through fire to make another point.

Who regards the call as more important? The fire department, or the caller?

I have heard of fire departments and dispatch centers that have gone to the point where calls that seem to be non-critical are handled differently than critical calls. It is possible that someone misrouted the call which would be entirely possible knowing Ziggy’s luck.

“If this is an emergency, hang up and dial 911 now.” is the only recording you would get by calling the police or F.D. non-emergency number. .. in reality.

This would be funny if it wasn’t so close to the truth. Have you ever had to stand and wait for the fire department to turn the hose a few degrees to the left to put out your just-started-burning trailer with your pet inside (she didn’t make it), instead of wasting time on a fully-engulfed, abandoned one a few feet from it, or spent weeks trying to get someone to investigate a suspicious trailer fire? It’s not a pleasant experience!

I hope he paid his dues, or they’ll watch it burn.

hey brobst it’s their money to begin with . did you earn it? hell no. did our government “earn” it hell no why shouldn’t the people who earn money get to keep most of it ? The stupidity of some people knows no bounds

Ponytail, I’m not sure you understand the complexities of brobst point. Tax breaks to billionaires (Mega Corporations etc) MEANS bigger drain on YOUR taxes.(Unless of course, you are one.) Social (life saving) services are cut, cut, cut. Then you have only privatization of security (‘fees’ instead of tax) to cover basic life saving utilities for rural or lower income communities and their families. The wealthiest, however, need not worry of such things. They can BUY the security and easily afford special F.D.’fees’ . etc. They’ve got the extra cash so many have been so suckered into supporting legislation that we peons are willing to keep on covering it for them! ….. in a nutshell.
