German chocloate? Germans do two edible brown things very well (and the combo is outstanding), sausage and beer. Do not go to Germany looking for good chocolate…. :)
German chocolate cake, originally German’s chocolate cake, is a layered chocolate cake from the United States filled and topped with a coconut-pecan frosting. It owes its name to an English-American chocolate maker named Samuel German, who developed a formulation of dark baking chocolate that came to be used in the cake recipe. — Wikipedia
Traditionally there are two cakes – bride’s which is the large decorated cake, and groom’s that was some other flavor. And, the top layer of the bride’s saved for their first anniversary. Mine was thrown out by a ‘helper’ but have survived 50+ years without it. Neither of us is into cake, so it was not a big deal saving the cake.
Geez! I can’t believe Lewis and Fry had their squirrel toss a running chain saw into a wedding party! That’s beyond sick, even for a comic strip. Have you two been hanging out with Mark Tatulli lately?
