Very good Pab - I’ve learned living in Jolly Ole England - that the correct term is Autumn NOT Fall. - Happy Autumnal season everyone! (And my Brit friends love celebrating American T-giving - but what’s not to love about a food festival!)
No sun - no moon!
No morn - no noon -
No dawn - no dusk - no proper time of day.
No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,
No comfortable feel in any member -
No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,
No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds! -
November!
@Rockingolfer - and don’t you just love it in the spring - when the new leaves form and show - you still have the dried leaves from last year still hanging on . And then there are those * seed balls that break apart into those pesky little semi-dandelion puffs . And of course - all those bits of bark that shed year-round. I think Ms. Nature goofed when she made these .

I have one sycamore tree that overhangs my property and you would not believe how many leaves I pick up in a year.

Actually I like the fall– even as I sit here looking out at the leaves covering my yard. Holiday coming up– yeah, do it then!
Getting the acorns up is the worst: bumper crop this year.

“rakinb”?! I’m not sure what surprises me more, the typo, or discovering that Pab doesn’t hand-letter.

deskman - thanks for that! In TNAOQV, however, he’s “Maurice,” Her Majesty’s all-purpose servant.

I like the fall, The Mist and All
I like the fall The mist and all I like the night owl’s lonely call And wailing sound Of wind around
I like the gray November day And dead, bare boughs that coldly sway Against my pane I like the rain
I like to sit And laugh at it And tend my cozy fire a bit I like the fall The mist and all
