Wow, most dogs just scratch up your wood floors. Rusty is the first dog I have seen who would eat them. Somehow I don’t think this will help Teddy relax.

And we spend the holiday weekend in suspense after tonight’s installment of Murder on the Midnight Express.

And bam!! (or is that ka-bam!) the victim would fall back, and hit the back of his head on the floor?

But nobody has arms that thin!

I didn’t take any of our suspects for a shape-shifter…did you?

Right… a tool… say… a loog thin hook… to slide under the door?

But I’m not sure that would provide a strong enough jerking motion.

And where, pray tell, is the rug now?

Even if it were thrown out a window… and not Mr. GC’s window, if the killer were outside the door….

it certainly isn’t a surefire method of killing someone.

Falling down might just bruise an elbow… or give him a headache. Or he might fall face forward.

And it surely doesn’t explain that gash in the wall.

Interesting that the 2010 commenters think “Teddy” is the dog, and the Cleo commenters think that’s the man’s name.

I wondered, myself, when I read the strip…. but it seems more like the former to me.

Okay, I finally got it…..

The 1 inch below the door was “plugged” up by the rolled up carpet. The large gash in the wall behind the curtain was how all the murderers got in and out of the compartment. All of them must have had a reason for wanting Mr. GC done away with! (Shades of Agatha Christy!)

Since there is a large gash on the wall, would that mean that the wall could be moved and somebody very slender could move behind that wall? Also, why are there 6 train cars in some of the panels, 5 in another panel and 4 in some of the other panels? Could this mean that Sam Basset is just having a dream and nobody was killed?
