My mother was just remarking the other day that our cat has 20 such mice somewhere in our house. Wherever the cat has stashed them, they’re very well hidden, because I haven’t seen any of them in months. Mom keeps getting more of them for her, and within a few days, they’re gone too.
We bought a battery powered bug for our two. We can usually only find it if we pull the stove out from the wall. Don’t know if this means they like or hate it.

Ours had a catnip sock she loved to play with and she never hid it.
