A is correct in America. How do the Brits pronounce it (and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was different in different areas there)?
From http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/a-versus-an.aspx
One complication is when words are pronounced differently in British and American English. For example, the word for a certain kind of plant is pronounced “erb” in American English and “herb” in British English. In the rare cases where this is a problem, use the form that will be expected in your country or by the majority of your readers.

“A hallucination,” or “An hallucination” ? I went with “A” but I originally wrote “An,” you can see the extra space in the balloon for the letter.

“A” is correct because the next word begins with a consonant sound.
