There never were any “good old days”, or at least no better than now. Well, actually now is much worse than usual, but in 2020, we should have some good new days. For the most part nothing seems so bad in retrospect. After all, they didn’t install nuclear warheads in Cuba, Nixon is just a bad memory, the people who died in the civil rights movement are forgotten, and we just enjoy the results of their efforts. The most accurate summation of the reason we have “good old days” is the lyric: “What’s too painful to remember, we simply choose to forget”.

Zig must have been around in the Sixties … because he can’t remember them.

As of last week the Chicago Sun-Times dropped Ziggy from the classified pages for good.

The good old days weren’t all that good, and tomorrow’s not as bad as it seems.
