It just saw a 1959 Cadillac Eldorado, and it is suffering from fin envy.

With the age of that car, hot flashes should be over!

But with a fancy tail end like that one, it will always be hot.,

Isn’t ‘autopause’ why the car is there in the repair shop to begin with? It’s certainly not moving.

Why menopause instead of womapause?

Why historectomy instead of hertorectomy?

Why hernia instead of hisnia?

First it was “he or she.” Then some chivalrous person thought “ladies first” and changed it to “she or he.” Then someone abbreviated it as “s/he.” But when we speak of corporations (which are gender neutral) it became “s/he/it.”

Radfish - The explanation I’ve heard is with using the male pronoun for God. That what happens is His Story. (After all, He’s the author!)
