Right, because a bunch of teenagers spending a single afternoon painting a foster kids’ camp will turn around the kids’ lives.
Of course, this is from the feelgood society who thinks that wearing a pink ribbon or changing your FB avatar to a cartoon character demonstrates how Deep and Caring you are.
Tell you what … let’s see how Gil reacts when there’s a player who has to cut out of practice a half-hour early on Wednesdays to get to his night working in the local soup kitchen.
Jamarr Gaddis will now rat out his parents and have them arrested so he can come back to foster kids camp and enjoy the fruits of his teammates’ labors.
Our Gil got sidetracked after wasting his summer at the golf course. He let the Ghost whine all fall and NEVER had a hint about a foster kid with CASH. Coach Matt would have seen this coming.

Finally, the end of this stupid story line! P1 and P2, was it a foster kid camp, or a leprosy colony?

Boo It is not the end–this bonding will get the Larks well into the football playdowns, which will end in March. So much for basketball!

Someone may have suggested this idea to Gil before the season as a “team building” activity…to which he likely responded with a curled lip.
Agree that one afternoon like this is not going to solve deep seated team conflict issues.
