In the sixth grade the rare rainfalls were used by me and my buddy to get extremely wet as we walked to school. We showed up shivering at our Catholic school. The nuns took pity. Gave up hot chocolate, cookies and dry clothes from the poor bin. That worked twice before they caught on and called our parents. Our parents gave us stern warnings and umbrellas on rainy days.
