We feed them to attract. They are the eye candy for our hearts. Look in a mirror and answer your own question
I’ve got a friend who puts out kibble for the raccoons.
My raccoons have lost all sense of decorum: they’re leaning up against the patio doors, leaving coon prints all over. Difficult to clean down that low. I left them banana peels and they stuffed them in the door tracks. Sad.
I’ve got a friend who will feed almost anything “wild”.
I once toured an ag school’s ruminant farm, and the manager there described sheep as foragers and goats as browsers. I think RJ is more a browser.
Who throws away boxes of Twinkies?
Because some people don’t like turtles and raccoons.
Because after we’ve nearly eliminated their natural food sources we want to do something for our conscience.
Around here I get to watch the raccoons chase the squirrels. Never seen a turtle this far from the creek, but the creek is full of snapping turtles.
I was gonna say, Seed_drill …
A few Twinkies ought to do the trick.
And my job happened to be giving them away today, too!
