Once they ram the other ship, how will they back up to maneuver and to let water rush into the hole?
Will they arrest the pirates once they spear their ship or just let them drown?

Who has the wind advantage? Some tricky manouvering needed to ram both pirates.
And often enough, the boats were kept together, to allow ‘boarding’ of the rammed boat, and vice-versa, perhaps, as it was difficult to sneak up on a boat to ram it.
