And I thought of the father in The Christmas Story when he kept blowing fuses. This is a lot of lights for the 60’s.

    Yes, bravo, Brian!

Beautiful! All that’s missing is a tree in the window.

Grog, he was in his late teens or early 20s (he was born in 1953, this strip is set in the early ’70s).

    Merry Kilowatts…

Watch that wheel on the electric meter spin round and round..

It’s worth it though to drive around the neighborhood at night and see all the Christmas lights..

Boo to the politically correct. Who are all these people who are supposed to be so offended if someone says CHRISTMAS?

I have never seen anyone offended by someone celebrating Christmas themselves in any form. Spending public money on only one of one religion’s holy days during the entire year is another issue.

90% of this “war on Christmas” is in people’s heads. Even the majority of die-hard atheists do not object to what you and I do in our homes and churches in December.

I know- because I know a few and I do celebrate Christmas, while acknowledging the importance of winning the war that saved the Jewish people before Jesus’ birth and that Ramadan and every other holy day is as precious to others as Christmas and Easter (which I consider the more important day) are to me. Yet they have to be satisfied with maybe a little symbol at the bottom of a TV screen otherwise filled with Christmas, and that for one faith’s less important holy day that is acknowledged just because we’re celebrating as well….
