I know that feeling. If I start out on a long drive and nothing goes wrong, I can never shake a feeling of deep foreboding.
Put on the spare tire, cut a strip from the flat tire to patch the busted radiator hose - presto!
amen i know all about it i had a 78 ltd until 95. icarried spare everything
Or in my case, a busted con-rod bearing and a lift from the cops.
My clutch went out just as I was getting on the freeway.
