Not doing this as a reply so everybody can see.
Instead of asking questions of other users,
you’re running off spreading dissension, trying to send people away, apparently on every forum you visit.
It would be a much greater pain, to me, to have to visit several different websites every day…
In my experience, Arcamax and Creators are no more “user-friendly”, requiring just as many clicks to get to the comments….
having to join Disqus or Facebook to make any,
and there are usually none there to read.
I’m not sure about Free members…
but paid GoComics members, at least… ($20 a year, less than 10 cents a day!)…
get to set up a “My Comics” page with our whole queue in whatever order we choose, and can read it with no more clicks at all, like a newspaper page.
Clicking the speech balloon next to a strip on that page takes you straight to its comments… no Overview page at all.
Personally, I hate the Featured Comment button… I written to them, eventually they may listen… or not…. who knows.
In any case, once all the comments are visible, you can use a couple of little programs… written by a very helpful user called Neil Wick…
He calls them “Bookmarklets” … they’re easily dragged to your bookmarks bar…
and available HERE:

Once they’re in your bookmarks, clicking his “GCReplies” opens all the replies at once…
and “GC Links” shows images and videos, and makes links go live, right in the forum.
Nothing like that is available on those other sites.
The important thing that’s not available elsewhere, to me, is us.
All of us… our community.
A lot of us have been here for years, and see each other on various comics….
it would be a big step backwards for me to leave.

Is “clean the oven” a euphemism for something else?

She just walked in the door from work – give her a few minutes. Besides, 45 minutes is waaaaay more than you need for cleaning the oven or whatever you were thinking.
I see where he was going there, but I don’t think he’s gonna get there.
