I wonder what Chuck’s diner is like compared to Al’s diner (“Ziggy” comic panel) or Irma’s diner (“Garfield” comic strip), Roz’s diner (“Shoe” comic strip), or the diner Dagwood Bumstead (“Blondie” comic strip) attends.
At least, at ’Chuck’s’, you will probably get at least four or five mouthfuls of food for a reasonable price rather than a mouthful for the same cost as four people at ’Chuck’s’ ! ! ! ! ! !
Plus with a name like that – you know the food is french – them and all their ‘stinking’ sauces. Give me food that I can taste and identify the original source. The cuisine at a good old-fashioned restaurant/diner can’t be beat. Plus of course the fancy name means it is extremely over-priced and miniaturized helping.
“There are certain clues that tell you how much a restaurant will cost. If the word ‘cuisine’ appears in the advertising, it will be expensive. If they use the word ‘food’, it will be moderately priced. However, if the sign says ‘eats’, even though you’ll save some money on food, your medical bills may be quite high.”- George Carlin

Never buy from any business with “Suavé” in its name, either. “Suave” has one syllable and no accent in both French and English.

Pluggers only patronize restaurants that have the menu posted over the cash registers and you have to ask for the key to the restroom.

Never eat at a BBQ place where all the tables and chairs match, unless they are well used!
